Fuck me, how much is this all going to cost?

It really doesn't matter - this trip is going to be so epic you shouldn't be worrying about minor details like that. Whether it's selling a kidney (or if you've got one, a kid), cryptofraud or good old fashioned granny bashing, you'll find the cash somehow.

To help you calculate how many kids you need to sell or grannies you need to mug, we've come up with some rough costs:

• Lift Pass - IKON Base Pass, £430 (US$599)
• Accomodation - £100 / room / night (average)
• Food/Drink - £30 / person / day
• Car Hire/Fuel - £20 / person / day
• Flights - £3-500 (from UK, depending on where you fly into and dates)

So, it's roughly £750-1000 upfront for flights & pass, then £100/day for accomodation, food and car (based on 2 sharing). For the full trip, you're looking at about 7 grand, but don't forget to offset what you'd spend at home in 2 months.

Note: our lawyers have advised us that this trip is so awesome that any resonable police officer/judge would completely understand why you needed the money, and any crime upto and including mass genocide would be written off as justified. However, not all cops & judges are reasonable and you may get unlucky. If you choose to conduct illegal activity to fund this trip, that is a risk you take.

40 days skiing and 7 days jumping doesn't add up to 2 months, what gives?

Because this trip is more epic than just skiing and skydiving - along the route there's all sorts of cool shit like Ice Climbing and Snow Mobiling in Yellowstone NP to get up to. Plus, we've budgeted for rest/driving days, so 40 days skiing should actually be 40 days skiing!

What date will you be in a Resort X?

No idea. This trip is about powder and if it isn't there, there's little point in us being there either. We'll have a plan, but it will be a flexible one. Some resorts may get missed out and others we may stay at for longer.

If you're only coming along for part of the trip, rough dates will be announced to give you the best chance of booking flights to an airport close to where we're going to be. But, you need to make sure your hotel/car hire bookings are flexible/cancellable and be prepared to do some extra driving (or maybe even take an internal flight) to get to where we are.

Will you book hotels for me?

If you're in for the full trip then we'll coordinate and book together. If you're coming along for part of the trip, then we're happy to book the rooms for you but will need a £100/room/night upfront payment. The actual cost may be a little higher/lower than this and we'll settle up the true cost once it's known.

We're a company that loves what you're doing and would like to help out!

Awesome - this trip is going to cost us about £7,000 (US$10,000) each, and none of us are rich so are fully up for whoring ourselves out to reduce the costs.*

We've come up with some clever ways that we can work with businesses along our route to help us keep costs down, whilst delivering value to those businesses.

We'll be maintaining a blog with regular updates throughout our trip, reviewing the resorts we visit, the activities we do, the places we eat and the beds we sleep in.

If you'd like to be featured in our blog, the easiest way to do so is to offer us a couple of rooms for a night or two, a free meal or even just a hot chocolate. There's a chance we might feature you anyway, but as we're going to be fairly price sensitive on this trip if someone offers us free accommodation or a free meal, we're unlikely to turn you down!

Please note that we're not going to lie and say your place is awesome if it isn't. Any review we publish will be open and honest, whether we've paid for the service or been given it for free. All giving us something for free does is ensure that you'll be included in our blog - if an impartial 3rd party wouldn't leave you a good review, it's probably best you don't get in touch!
